"Sold exclusively at Barneys, the label offers a plethora of dresses sans separates, keeping in tune with Horowitz’s design philosophy of allowing a single idea to evolve and refine itself over time. Playing on the idea of an old favorite and taking a cue from vintage American sportswear brands, Pipit offers a number of shapes that translate into each collection as well as new, more experimental shapes that are seasonal." http://www.sundancechannel.com/fullfrontalfashion/blog/2009/10/market-appointment-pipit-exclusively-at-barneys/
Yesterday my boss Dustin Horowitz, owner of the label PIPIT, had a photo shoot for his look book. It's been a long time coming. The line has really taken off and developed since I first started working with Dustin my first year out of high school. The shoot took place at the photo studio Industria. A place I walked past often and was always curious about. The effort that the photo team put in really paid off and made the shoot seem effortless... or maybe that's just what happens when you work with someone that's well trained and has a good eye. Dustin has a way of making people feel calm and able to work with ease whenever he's around. Dustin shot over 8 looks on one model, Sophie, and towards the end a beautiful little girl, Anita, came and all of the clothes was shot on her. What a lucky 10 year old! Basically it was a wonderful day. Who doesn't love having fun and getting paid for it.
